PASSAGE to PURPOSE

Help close the gap between where they are and who they're becoming.

Young adults spend years preparing for what comes next—college, careers, relationships, leadership.

But who helps them prepare for who they're becoming?

Compass Path creates immersive service-learning and pilgrimage experiences where emerging adults step away from ordinary life, serve alongside others, explore unfamiliar places, encounter God, and ask questions that rarely fit into a classroom:

Who am I? What do I believe? What kind of life do I want to build? Who am I becoming for others?

We believe those questions matter.

And we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to ask them—regardless of what they can afford.

THE PROBLEM

We prepare young adults for success far more intentionally than we prepare them for significance.

Today's emerging adults are extraordinarily capable. They've earned the grades, built the resumes, and learned to navigate a world of constant change.

Yet many enter adulthood unsure of who they are, what they believe, where they belong, or how they want to spend the one life they've been given.

They're surrounded by information but short on wisdom. Connected to thousands of people but known deeply by very few. They're asked to prepare for careers but rarely given intentional space to consider character, purpose, faith, or vocation.

Colleges develop knowledge. Employers develop skills. Churches proclaim the gospel.

But young adults also need places intentionally designed for the slow work of formation—the work of becoming.

That's the gap Compass Path exists to fill.

OUR solution

Transformation happens through presence, challenge, service, and community.

Compass Path creates immersive pilgrimage and service-learning experiences that help emerging adults discover purpose, deepen faith, build meaningful community, and develop the character to serve others well.

We take young adults out of their ordinary routines and invite them into something different.

They serve alongside local organizations.

They navigate unfamiliar places.

They do difficult things together.

They gather around tables for honest conversation.

They practice reflection and pay attention to where God may already be at work—in the world and in themselves.

Our model draws deeply from the Christian tradition of pilgrimage: leaving what is familiar, welcoming strangers, carrying burdens together, and discovering that God often meets us along the way.

Our programs remain unapologetically rooted in the Christian story while welcoming participants wherever they are in their own faith journey.

The goal isn't simply that someone comes home having seen somewhere new.

We want them to come home seeing themselves—and their place in the world—differently.

OUR results

Compass Path has grown from serving fewer than 100 participants three years ago to serving hundreds of emerging adults through immersive programs in partnership with colleges, schools, churches, nonprofits, and community organizations.

And we're measuring what happens.

Among matched participants surveyed before and after our Spring Break 2026 programs:

  • 83% grew in confidence navigating new or uncomfortable situations.

  • 81% grew in optimism about their future.

  • 79% grew in clarity about their personal values and purpose.

  • 72% grew in their desire to engage in service or advocacy.

Across every category we measured, participants demonstrated meaningful growth.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

"Compass reminded me who I am and who I can be for others."

"I recognized my own potential in ways that truly changed the way I view myself and forged the path to who I want to be."

Another woman with green hair and glasses is partially visible on the left. The scene is on a city street with cars and buildings, and a tall church steeple in the background.

"Compass has made me realize that I can do hard things, make difficult decisions, and make change in the world."

WHY now

The opportunity is growing. So is the affordability gap.

Compass Path is entering an important season.

What began as a small organization serving fewer than 100 participants has grown into a network of programs reaching hundreds of young adults each year.

In 2027 alone, we expect to serve approximately 300 learners through more than 20 experiences.

And we want to keep these experiences radically affordable.

The true cost of creating safe, meaningful, professionally led international experiences continues to rise. We could simply pass those costs along to participants.

We don't want to.

Because a family's income should not determine whether a young person gets access to an experience that could change the trajectory of their life.

So as Compass grows, philanthropy must grow with it.

This is the moment to build the financial foundation underneath a model that is already working.

MAKE TRANSFORMATION accessible TO ALL

Compass Path is seeking $325,000 in philanthropic support through December 2027 to help approximately 300 emerging adults make their own passage toward purpose, community, faith, and character—and to position Compass for a strong start in 2028.

Your generosity helps close the gap between what these experiences actually cost and what we ask participants to pay.

It provides scholarships for those who need even greater support.

It strengthens the people and systems that make every Compass experience possible.

And it allows us to say yes when another college, community, family, or young person asks to participate.

HELP SHAPE THOSE who will shape WHAT’S NEXT

The next teacher.

The next entrepreneur.

The next pastor.

The next physician.

The next foster parent.

The next nonprofit founder.

The next person who quietly changes the culture of a campus, workplace, church, neighborhood, or family.

None of them arrive fully formed.

People become those people because someone created space for courage to grow, purpose to deepen, community to take root, and faith to become something lived rather than merely believed.

You can help create that space.

Help close the gap between where they are and who they're becoming.

Join us in making transformation accessible to all.
